Experience the artistic highlights of the 2024/25 season in one festive week. The grand finale of the Ballet Week is a celebratory gala, where the Staatsballett Berlin ensemble presents excerpts from beloved classical and contemporary works – including iconic pas de deux, dazzling solos, and brand-new pieces by renowned choreographers. Hosted by Artistic Director Christian Spuck and Petra Gute.

Our education programme Tanz ist KLASSE! invites everyone to get moving – from the grand opening workshop with open studios and a range of styles, from classical to contemporary, to special family formats offering exclusive glimpses into training and rehearsals, all the way to hands-on introductions right before the evening performances. A special highlight: an open dance session on the public holiday in the historic Apollosaal of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.

The Ballettwoche discussion series invites you to explore dance from different perspectives and engage in dialogue with artists and experts. The Forum «Body and Culture» focuses on dance, gender, and tradition, featuring distinguished guests such as choreographer Christian Spuck and drag queen Olympia Bukkakis. In the Ballet Talk Special, artists and team members of the Staatsballett offer personal insights into their work. And in the open Q&A sessions following the performances, audiences can ask the dancers their questions directly and reflect on their experiences together.

Guided Tours and Encounters with the Artists
Discover what goes on behind the scenes and the myths, stories, and events connected to a theatre and its history. During Ballet Week, Staatsballett personalities Tomas Karlborg, Beatrice Knop and Barbara Schroeder will lead guided tours of the Staatsoper and the Deutsche Oper. Meanwhile, dancers from the Staatsballett will be signing autographs during the intervals of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and 2 Chapters Love, as well as together with all performers after the two performances of the Ballet Gala. A chance to meet the artists!
