We warmly congratulate our Artistic Director, Christian Spuck, on the extension of his contract until 31 July 2033. The Board of Trustees of the Stiftung Oper in Berlin approved the extension at its meeting on 8 October 2026. We are delighted for him and look forward to the seasons ahead.

Christian Spuck has led Staatsballett Berlin since 1 August 2023. His current contract was due to run until 31 July 2028.

Stefan Evers, Berlin’s Senator for Culture and Social Cohesion, says:
