Deutscher Tanzpreis for Christian Spuck
We warmly congratulate Artistic Director Christian Spuck on receiving the Deutscher Tanzpreis, presented last Saturday in Essen.
«I am very pleased to receive this prize for the challenging and inspiring task of leading the Staatsballett Berlin. This success is not a solo achievement but a work of all staff members and participating artists. It’s wonderful to receive such recognition from audiences and the press in such a short time», says Christian Spuck about the honour of receiving the prestigious award.
The ceremony included three of his own choreographies: The Balcony Pas de Deux from Romeo and Juliet, performed by Kalle Wigle and Michelle Willems, Nocturne with Jan Casier and Leroy Mokgatle, Beethoven featuring Cohen Aitchison-Dugas, Emma Antrobus, Weronika Frodyma, Mark Geilings, Loick Pireaux, and Anthony Tette.
