Congratulations to our Principal Dancer David Soares, who was named one of three winners in the tanznetz Critics’ Poll 2025/26 for his portrayal of Rudolf Nureyev.
The production Nureyev, choreographed by Yuri Possokhov and directed by Kirill Serebrennikov, also impressed the critics, taking second place in the ‘Choreography’ category.
Artistic Director Christian Spuck was also named a favourite. The critics praised the diverse programme he has established in the capital, which has won him recognition from both audiences and critics.
The work of our dramaturg Katja Wiegand was also singled out for praise. She was recognised in the ‘Personalities Behind the Scenes’ category for her introduction to Nureyev and the accompanying programme booklet.
