Artistic Director and choreographer Christian Spuck reveals what sets his interpretation of the ballet apart and offers exclusive insights into its richly imagined costume designs. Conductor Dominic Limburg explores Tchaikovsky’s score and the close relationship between music and movement. Dramaturg Claus Spahn traces the work back to E.T.A. Hoffmann and his fantastical world, where dreams and reality intertwine.
Dancers from the Staatsballett Berlin share their experiences of the rehearsal process, reflecting on its challenges, discoveries and the things that only emerge in the studio.
The discussion will be hosted by dramaturg Katja Wiegand.
