Sharon Eyal

Profile

Sharon Eyal danced with the Batsheva Dance Company from 1990 to 2008, serving as its Deputy Artistic Director from 2003 to 2004 and as its Resident Choreographer from 2005 to 2012. In 2005, she began her partnership with Gai Behar, who has since collaborated with her on her creations. In 2013, the two founded their dance company L-E-V, whose repertoire is produced in collaboration with some of the leading dance festivals worldwide. Additionally, Eyal and Behar create works for other ensembles, including the Nederlands Dans Theater, the Opéra national de Paris, and the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. They have also worked on fashion shows for Christian Dior and developed projects in collaboration with the music label Young. Sharon Eyal made her Berlin debut in 2018 with the piece Half Life at the Staatsballett Berlin. As a premiere, she created her piece STRONG in 2019. 2 Chapters Love marks the third choreography for the Staatsballett Berlin.
