Katja Wiegand

Katja Wiegand studied Cultural Studies and English/American Studies at the University of Potsdam, and pursued a Master's degree in Dance Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. In addition to her studies in Germany, she studied abroad in Russia, South Africa, and Laos. From 2018 to 2023, she worked as a freelance dance dramaturge nationally and internationally. From 2020 to 2023, she served as a staff member for Public Relations, Communication, and Production Management for the Master's programme in Choreography at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch, affiliated with the Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz (HZT) Berlin. Since the 2023/24 season, Katja Wiegand has been serving as a dramaturge at the Staatsballett Berlin.
