Joel von Lerber
Joel von Lerber is a Swiss harpist in high international demand, celebrated for his virtuosity and wide-ranging musical versatility. He began playing the harp at an early age and trained at the Music Academy of Basel, the Zurich University of the Arts, and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, where he completed his concert diploma with a debut as a soloist with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
He has received numerous awards, including 2nd prize and two special prizes at the International Harp Contest in Israel, one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for harpists. He performs internationally with leading orchestras and, since 2024, has held a teaching position at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.
His artistry combines technical brilliance with profound musical expression.
