Edu Rojas
Edu Rojas, originally from Chile, received his ballet training at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile before going on to study singing in Santiago, Amsterdam and at the Berlin University of the Arts.
He made his debut in 2018 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Munich Biennale in Wir sind aus Glas. Other important guest appearances have included the world-premiere production of I Have Missed You Forever at Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, The Gospel According to the Other Mary by John Adams at the Volksoper Wien, and Cavalli’s L’Ormindo at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden.
As a concert soloist he has performed, among other venues, at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Philharmonie Haarlem, the Cologne Philharmonie and at the festival in Sintra, Portugal. At the Deutsche Oper Berlin he will return in the 2025/26 season as Nireno in Giulio Cesare.
Edu Rojas is also Artistic Director of QEnsemble Berlin and works as a vocal coach, including engagements with Dutch National Opera and the Volksoper Wien.
