Clara Aguilar

Profile

Clara Aguilar is a Barcelona based composer and scenic artist, a multi-instrumentalist musician who moves from performing arts to cinema as a producer and live performer. She creates soundscapes that blend electronics and sampled elements with orchestral arrangements specially focused into the Barcelona theatre scene, creating soundtracks and sound designs for more than sixty projects in the last eight years. Highlighted projects that she did as scenic artist, are her composition for Nachtträume (Zürich Ballett) by Marcos Morau, Totentanz by La Veronal/Marcos Morau (Triennale di Milano), she directed L’Amour Toujours (L’Auditori, Barcelona)a performatic concert about the ritual of the act of love, This Real Love (Teatre Lliure, Barcelona) and Arcas 2020 (Teatre Lliure; Teatros del Canal) as a member of VVAA Collective. She created scores for cinema such as Creatura by Elena Martín (Best Film of Cannes Quinzaine des Cinéastes), Selftape by Joana and Mireia Vilapuig, the TV series Su Majestad by Borja Copeaga, Nomad Shadow by Eimi Imaneshi, among others. Other highlighted pieces are her short opera installation for CCCB, co-created with the writer Pol Guasch and the scenic artist Silvia Delagneau, premiered in January 2025; with this team she’s currently preparing a new project.
