Experience your own body and feel its expressive possibilities, move to music, develop dance elements, rehearse a small performance. This and much more is offered by a dance workshop in which former dancers of the Staatsballett Berlin pass on their skills and rehearse original choreographies of the Staatsballett Berlin repertory.
Under the guidance of dance pedagogues of Tanz ist KLASSE! e.V. elements from the classical repertory of the Staatsballett Berlin or improvisations to current contemporary repertory pieces are worked out, depending on the type of workshop chosen.
On March 5th, 2023, a classical and contemporary workshop will be offered in parallel.
The classical workshop deals with John Cranko's "Onegin" and will be led by dance pedagogue Elinor Jagodnik.
The contemporary workshop deals with the dance piece "Strong" by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar and is led by Sacha Males, member of the corps de ballet of the Staatsballett, who himself can be seen on stage in the production.
Age limit: from 15 years, previous knowledge required
The workshops take place in the ballet studios of the Staatsballett Berlin in the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Cost: 20 euros per person
