John Cranko's ONEGIN will be performed four more times this season at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Although we are very much looking forward to the performances, they are also performances of goodbyes:

On May 10, long-time Principal Dancer Dinu Tamazlacaru and Aya Okumura will dance the roles of Onegin and Tatjana as members of the company for the last time. Iana Balova, who will take the role of Olga, is also leaving the ensemble after more than a decade. Suren Grigorian will dance the role of Lensky, and Konstantin Lorenz will portray Gremin.

The performances on May 13 are also marked by goodbyes from the company. Kammertänzer and Principal Dancer Marian Walter takes on the role of Onegin for the last time as a member of the Staatsballett Berlin alongside Principal Dancer Iana Salenko as Tatyana for the additional performance in the afternoon. Alizée Sicre, Suren Grigorian and Konstantin Lorenz will dance the roles of Olga, Lensky and Gremin.

In the evening of May 13 and May 16, Elisa Carrillo Cabrera and Alexei Orlenco dance the roles of Tatyana and Onegin. Performing as Olga, Lensky and Prince Gremin will be Evelina Godunova, Daniil Simkin and Yevgeniy Khissamutdinov, who will also leave the company at the end of the season.

Tickets for all originally announced performances are almost sold out, howerver, there are still tickets available for the additional performance on May 13 at 3pm: www.staatsballett-berlin.de/onegin
