Marcia Haydée on the character of Carabosse in SLEEPING BEAUTY: "I never understood why she's portrayed as an old man or woman in almost every production. I asked myself if an evil fairy can't be as beautiful as a good fairy, and if she absolutely has to dance as well. Carabosse is a diva. She enters and has this power because she's powerful since birth, forceful and with the ability to manipulate.

Here in Berlin, we have three dancers interpreting the role of Carabosse: Dinu Tamazlacaru, Alexei Orlenco and Arshak Ghalumyan. They are all totally different. They are all very special. They do the same steps, however, everyone adds their own personality. They spark new ideas."
