Revival of »Romeo and Juliet« postponed – First performance on 27 January instead of 25 January 2019

Berlin, 17 December 2018 --- The first performance date of »Romeo and Juliet« by John Cranko, a revival mounted by the Staatsballett Berlin at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, will be postponed to 27 January 2019. On 25 January 2019 a dress rehearsal will take place instead, to which ticket holders are welcome.

Director Johannes Öhman: »Due to this transitional season and the adjustments to our new programme that it has necessitated, we have decided to postpone the opening of »Romeo and Juliet« from 25 to 27 January 2019. We are responsible for providing our audiences with artistic quality and ensuring the quality of the production as a whole. More preparation time is therefore required.«

On 25 January at 7.30 pm, a dress rehearsal will be held, to which ticket holders for this date are also welcome. Tickets already bought for 25 January can also be reimbursed or changed to another performance date. Guests are asked to fill out a form and send it with their tickets to Staatsballett Berlin, Ticketservice, Unter den Linden 7, 10117 Berlin. The form can be downloaded at www.staatsballett-berlin.de or can be requested by e-mail or phone. Customers of the Staatsballett can also email the form and the scanned tickets to tickets@staatsballett-berlin.de. For any questions please contact customer service at +49 (0)30 20 60 92 630.
